The holder measures 16″x4″x.875″ and will hold up to six or seven large chef knives. An elegant beveled edge has been cut around the perimeter of the rack . Neodymium rare earth magnets–which are extremely powerful for their size–have been drilled in from the back with only a thin layer of wood remaining to ensure a strong hold for your knives. A food-safe hard wax finish is then applied to protect the wood’s beauty and durability for years to come. The knife holder in these photos is the one you will receive.
Two brass keyhole plugs that sit flush to the wood have been drilled on the back to easily and sturdily hang the knife holder on the wall. Mounting hardware and instructions are included. Note that if you’re uncomfortable with drilling or leaving holes in your wall or tiles, then you can use the Scotch-Mount Extreme© double-sided mounting tape that’s included with your purchase (this tape will hold up to 30 pounds which is sufficiently strong to mount your rack and knives).
