Handcrafted Koa Wood Ballpoint Pen

Take a trip to the sunny beaches and cool breezes of Hawaii every time you write with this pen made from koa wood!  Koa wood is native to Hawaii and is known for its the deep rich colors and varied grain patterns, making it one of the most beautiful and sought-after hardwoods in the world.

This Continental style pen comes with chrome fittings giving a simple a yet elegant look and it delivers a nice weight in the hand. The Parker style ink cartridge extends with a dual twist mechanism. The length of the pen is approximately 5.50 inches.

This pen was turned on a lathe by hand by one of our artisans.  Sixteen sanding applications were applied and then the pen was finished and polished with multiple layer of carnauba wax.  Carnauba wax is one of the hardest natural waxes, and it can enhance oil retention and protect against moisture and prevent discoloration.  Over time and with use, however, the the oils present in your fingers and hand from use and will form a rich and silky patina that gives the pen its own unique character.
